ERIC's BIO: Born and raised in NYC, Eric discovered at a young age that being a scrawny, skinny kid was a disadvantage in the sports he loved. It wasn't until Eric became one of 'the few, the proud' and enlisted as a U.S. Marine that he not only changed physically but mentally. "Marine Corps boot camp was the hardest thing I have ever done, but once I graduated I felt strong, confident and like I could accomplish anything I set my mind to." Thus began Eric’s love for physical fitness. 20 years later, Eric continues to train as intensely but smarter using High Intensity Training (HIT). With HIT, Eric stays in phenomenal shape and ready to do anything active such as run, bike, swim, lift weights, play a sport and keep up with his active kids. Eric co-created an award-winning HIT class being taught throughout NYSC, PSC and BSC, and he developed NYSC’s super popular Pre-season Sports Conditioning class. He led the small group kettlebell classes at NYSC and was recently featured as teaching one of the best kettlebell classes in NYC in Well + Good NYC. He also created the Train like a Tribute, Hunger Games workout for NYSC, which was featured in the media and is a CrossFit Coach. Eric may look familiar to you, as he is a Lululemon Ambassador, collaborating with Lululemon Madison Avenue to promote fitness and community. Eric loves what he does and has fun doing it. His favorite quote, by Mia Hamm, says it all "If you don't love what you do, you won't do it with much conviction or passion." Professional Certifications: NASM & NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, Kettlebell Concepts Level 1, CrossFit Level 1 Coach, CrossFit Kettlebell, CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Gymnastics, Road Runners Club of America Certified Running Coach, TRX Certified, USAW Olympic Weight Lifting Certification. BEN's BIO: After seven years performing and touring as a professional dancer with such reputable companies as the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange and the Washington National Opera, Benjamin began to feel the wear and tear on his body and traded in touring for teaching as an adjunct professor of dance in the kinesiology department at Indiana University. Benjamin dove into kinesiology and biomechanics textbooks and began to research multiple fitness and holistic modalities when an opportunity to perform a starring role in Sleep No More on Broadway led Benjamin back to New York City. The role was tough on his body and cemented Benjamin’s desire to move into the fitness industry. Already an avid yogi and student of pilates, Benjamin found High Intensity Training to push and train his body in ways few workouts could. HIT allows him to continually reach new physical goals while working faster, stronger and smarter than he knew possible. Benjamin born and raised in Illinois, studied at Butler University and the Julliard School and received his B.A. from Point Park University. He is also a NASM certified personal trainer. http://www.fhittingroom.com/
